Crazy Weekend

This weekend was kind of a crazy/busy weekend for us. Friday Trav went to go hang out with his friend Brandon. I sat home and relaxed which was nice. Saturday was our nephew Rhett's birthday he turned 2 and he's so stinking adorable. Shanna threw a little shin-dig for him at her house with a few of the kids. They swam and this huge blow up pool thingy it was awesome. They had a pinata, we ate cupcakes, and hot dogs it was a lot of fun. Trav wasn't with me though. He says to me which was so cute. "Sarah there are just so many of them. I love them all, but I'm not use to all of this family stuff and kids." Which is true, Travis only has one sister and she only has 2 kids. So going from that to me having 8 brothers and sisters which are all married, and 6 of which all have kids. There are 20 kids in our family so you can imagine how he gets overwhelmed. Well after the party his aunt Sharon and uncle Ray had their 50th wedding anniversary. We went up there to celebrate with them. His grandpa Sims who I've never met before was there and he was the cutest man. Trav's family is so nice and fun to be around. His aunt Sharon made us a quilt for our wedding gift, and it was beautiful. We had a lot of fun. Sunday we went to go see the Dark Knight with my dad and Glenda. It was really good movie, and I must say I was super proud of myself because for all of you who don't know I am terrified of clowns, and the Joker looks just like a clown. It was so hard to sit through, but Travis and I had a bet, and I think I won :D We had a great weekend.

Lava Hot Springs

Another year of Lava Hot Springs has gone by. We go every year with my whole family. It gets super crazy around there. Trav, me, Tessa, Joel, and Alisa couldn't get down there til late Thursday night. When we got there we were so tired and just wanted to go to bed. Friday morning we got up early to blow up tubes and start on breakfast to have a long nice day of going down the river. We went down the river a few times, luckily the times we went down we had not accidents. Although, Travis did become a hero and rescued a little kid from being stuck on one of the most dangerous parts of the river. Trav thought he locked the keys in the car and we had no way of getting to them, so we had to get a locksmith to come open the door, and sure enough right as the locksmith opened the door my brother Tyler found the keys. It was so frustrating, but its all good its something to laugh at now. After all that happened we showered and had lunch, after lunch the boys went golfing. Glenda and I did laundry and tried to relax, but my cute niece was having a hard time missing her mom and dad. She is so cute. After everyone got back we had hamburgers and hot dogs. Then we went to bed. Saturday we got up and ate breakfast. Trav and I couldn't decided if we wanted to go to the pool or down the river. We ended up going to the pool with Tyler, Stacey, and Baby Kamrey. It was so much fun. Travis and Stacey decided to be really brave and go off the high dives :D It was so funny to watch them. We got back from the pool and had lunch/dinner, then we got to play games. YAY! of course I lost :( After games we watched a movie called Peaceful Warrior it was good from what I saw of it. I fell asleep. Sunday we woke up and packed up and got ready to leave. Trav and I had so much fun.Travis feeding baby Kamrey...So cute!

Unfortunately I had to work, but thats okay I got paid time and a half so that was nice, after work I went home and got ready, then Travis and I headed to my dad and Glenda's house to go to the Bee's game. The whole family was there on both sides, It was the Greenwood's and the Robinson's. We got hot dogs, drinks, kettle korn, and slushies. We watched the game (which we lost 8 to 5)After the game we watched fireworks. This year they were amazing. Its very well put together. Its very fun to be with the family. Its a great tradition that I'm very glad my dad and Glenda started.
